I desperately wanna know - do people really care about celebrities using their private jets to travel?

I've been seeing so much controversy over Kylie Jenner using her private jet for a twelve-minute flight. I can totally understand how ridiculous that is because it absolutely is. However, one week after that information was released, articles came out saying that Taylor Swift's private jet has had the highest CO2 emissions this year compared to other celebrities. It doesn't take a genius to figure out who released this information to the outlets. Kris Jenner is the queen of PR, as much as I hate to admit it. Her goal was to get the attention away from her daughter and it worked. Who better to blame for the environmental crisis we are in than Taylor Swift? We know they have beef thanks to Kim K's phone-call-editing skills.
Fast forward and all of Twitter is going nuts on Taylor for having such high CO2 emissions this year. I'm not here to defend celebs for having these kinds of privileges, but I am here to call out the BS. First off, the Kardashians/Jenners own several private jets so comparing Taylor's one jet to Kylie's one jet is unfair. Second, Taylor lets her family and friends use her jet too, so she is not technically responsible for all of the trips it takes. My last and favorite argument is the fact that 99% of the people complaining about this would do the exact same thing if they could afford it. It doesn't mean it's right and it doesn't mean it's moral when it comes to the environment, but it also doesn't change the facts. The elite does what the elite can. Not to mention, I don't think anyone's private jets are responsible for what's happening to our planet. That would be all of us as a collective...but that's another post for another time.
Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
